notebooks and daisy chains

Hmmm I’m not sure I normally make a conscious decision on what I’m going to do in my sketchbooks, though occasionally I do have specific ideas. When I’m at work I have a tendency to write/doodle these long lists of what I call ‘Ideas For Anything’, and some of the time the ideas are for sketchbook/journal spreads. A lot of the time I forget to consult these lists though, so they’re pretty much useless haha. 

Mostly I just take whatever I’m looking at, or listening to, or watching, and use that. Sometimes I save pictures to draw later, but mostly it’s just what I feel like at the time or whatever I see first. A lot of the writing (when it’s not me being self-pitying or angry) is literally just taken from whatever the last words I heard were, or even just whatever the first words that come to mind are. 

So, yeah, I don’t really decide what I’m going to do, per se, I just kind of… go with whatever comes to mind when I sit down to do it.
